Find missing GPSR data, prepare passports and manage recalls
Article 19 of the General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (GPSR) asks online sellers to show the manufacturer, EU Responsible Person, identifiers and warnings. Scan your catalog per EU market, keep operators, warnings and documents in one hub, collect supplier data and show it on product pages. Prepare passports with QR codes for ESPR (EU) 2024/1781, trace batches to orders, review Safety Gate alerts and record packaging for PPWR (EU) 2025/40. For EU sellers; not legal advice.

Questions and answers
Does this make my store compliant? Is this legal advice?
No. The app helps you check, collect and document product data: it flags what is missing for Article 19 of the General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 and for digital product passports. It does not assess whether a product is safe or meets any law, and it is not legal advice; ask your legal advisor about your obligations.
Does the app change my store?
Not when you install it: it reads products, variants and store languages. It writes only when you click Publish to storefront, and then only the app's own product metafields and entries, after you grant permission. Importing markets and checking your theme ask for read permission at the moment you use them. Order data asks for read access to orders when you turn it on.
What does the scan check?
Per target EU market: the product information listed in GPSR Article 19 (manufacturer, EU Responsible Person, identifiers, warnings in the market's language, safety documents) and data a digital product passport may need under the ESPR, Regulation (EU) 2024/1781 (GTIN, origin, materials, certificates). Passport requirements apply to a product group only once its delegated act is adopted; most groups have none yet. Packaging is shown for information only.
What do my suppliers see?
Each supplier gets a private link without a Shopify login. They see only the products and sections you request and can upload files. Nothing they submit changes your data until you review and approve it. Links expire and can be revoked. The app does not e-mail suppliers: you share the link yourself.
How do shoppers see the information?
Add the app's blocks to your product template in the theme editor: product safety info, manufacturer and EU contact, warnings, documents, and a passport link with a QR code. Passport pages and QR codes are served from the app's domain without cookies or tracking. The Pro and Scale plans add product lifecycle and warranty registration blocks.
What happens to my data and passports if I uninstall?
App data is kept for 48 hours in case you reinstall, then deleted when Shopify asks for it; from then on passport links and QR codes return “not found”. Data you published to your storefront stays in Shopify after uninstalling, so use Remove all from storefront first. Download the passport archive (JSON) and your documents before you leave. Download incident exports and packaging reports too.
Which order data does the app read?
Only when you turn on Order data (Pro and Scale): order numbers, line items, quantities, dates and the delivery country — never customer names, e-mails, phone numbers or addresses. It is used to match batches to shipments, list orders affected by a recall and record packaging per shipment. Order identifiers are stored encrypted, and you can delete the recorded orders at any time.
How does product registration work?
On the Scale plan, owners can register an item from its passport with their e-mail address and confirm it from the e-mail. You decide to turn it on and link your privacy policy; the app processes the addresses on your behalf, only for the registration, ownership transfers and your recall notices, and every e-mail has a link to delete the registration.
