Feed & Pixel Guard
Protect your Google Shopping ads: spot feed errors, page mismatches and silent tracking gaps.
Never edits your products or your feed; it adds its own pixel only if you turn on Pixel heartbeat

Catch Merchant Center feed issues and broken tracking early
Feed apps can send data that Google rejects, and a price or stock mismatch with the product page can get a Merchant Center account suspended. Outside Shopify Plus, tags pasted in the theme no longer see Thank you page purchases. Lektoro checks GTINs, images, apparel attributes and availability, compares product pages with your data, finds duplicate or theme-only tags and alerts you. Works next to any feed app and never edits products or your feed. For stores advertising on Google Shopping.

Questions and answers
Does the app change my products or my feed?
No. It reads products and inventory and fetches your public product pages. It never edits products, metafields or the feed sent by your feed app. The only thing it can add is its own web pixel, and only after you turn on Pixel heartbeat and approve the extra permissions; you can turn it off at any time.
Do I still need a feed app?
Yes. Lektoro works next to any feed app and checks the data it is likely to send. Feed apps with their own mapping rules can send different values, so check Merchant Center diagnostics for what Google actually reports.
What does the feed audit check?
GTIN check digits and restricted prefixes, SKUs in the Barcode field, duplicate GTINs, brand and MPN, title and description quality, image size, price and compare-at price, availability against inventory, apparel attributes (color, size, gender, age group) and product category. Each issue links to Google's requirement and says how to fix it.
Why do my tracking tags miss purchases?
Outside Shopify Plus, scripts pasted into the theme or Additional scripts no longer run on the Thank you and Order status pages. Purchase tracking needs app pixels or custom pixels in Customer events. The scan shows which tags live only in the theme and which are installed twice.
What data does the heartbeat pixel collect?
Only the event name (page viewed, product viewed, added to cart, checkout started, checkout completed), counted per hour. No customer data, order data or identifiers are stored. Shopify's permission screen describes the general customer events permission, which mentions IP address and browser; the app does not store them. The pixel runs only with analytics consent.
My store is password protected. Can the app check product pages?
Yes. Enter the storefront password in Settings; it is stored encrypted and used only to fetch your product pages.
Does a good score guarantee approval or conversions?
No. The audit flags common reasons for disapprovals and tracking gaps; Google makes its own decisions and ad platforms process events on their side.
